Hello everyone! I thought it would be fun to have a little Christmas in July for a few days here!! I’m thinking starting today and for the next four or five days, I will have a fun post!! Some recipes, fun DIY crafts and gift ideas! So here goes!
Today’s Recipe is going to be kind of silly (because YES, it is a nestle toll house recipe,) BUT it is my favorite recipe of all time! Chocolate Chip Cookies!!
First off, we have all of the ingredients!
2 Sticks of butter
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/4 cups flour
1 bag of chocolate chips
(Yes I know this recipe by heart, I have been making it since I was like 15)
I always let Molly help me cook. She LOVES helping, and I love letting her help! I feel like the more she is involved the more she will eat (of course she will eat cookies, I mean healthy dinners and lunches) By the way, the thing shes standing on is the best thing in the world! It is called a Mommy’s Helper from One Step Ahead. It folds up if you need it to but its the best!
Set your oven to 350
I forgot to take pictures, but first I put the butter in the microwave. I do not melt it (you can for thinner cookies) I make it soft. I then add the eggs.
3/4 cup white sugar
2/4 cup brown sugar
1 TSP Vanilla Extract
1 TSP Salt
1 TSP Baking Soda
This is what it should look like before the flour goes in! You can also wait to put the salt and baking powder in with the flour, but I just end up throwing them in!
2 1/4 Cup Flour
Yum! I have a kitchen aid mixer, which i use when I am doubling the recipe (it is easier) but when I make one batch, I like to mix it by hand. I find it to be relaxing!
I eye ball them, but usually 6 fit on the cookie sheet. Believe it or not, I sold Pampered Chef for over a year and I only have one cookie sheet! I always line it with parchment paper, its easier for clean up!
I take them out after about 7 minutes (give or take.) I never over cook them because I like my Cookie soft and chewy and yes underdone!
For Christmas, I always make cookies (all different kinds) and I put them in cute little containers with ribbons and give them as gifts!
